The Solara 145T is a super new recreational tandem kayak for easy, carefree excursions on your nearest lakes or lazy rivers. The Solara 145T has a unique sliding seat system that allows paddling tandem or, optionally, sliding the bow seat back for improved solo paddling. This hybrid tandem/solo paddles with ease and you can rest assured it is fully outfitted for safety, including two bulkheads and storage hatches. The Solara 145T is a unique solution for those aspiring to paddle with others, solo or gear. Whether you’re bringing your friend, man’s best friend, a mountain of fishing tackle or a fully stocked cooler for a day of fun, the Solara 145T will make you day more enjoyable. A rudder is optional for increased maneuverability and control in wind and current.

Design Features:
Soft Chine: A smooth transition from the bottom of the hull to the sides. Soft chines give smooth edging at unlimited angles. The majority of kayaks that we build have a soft chine.
Shallow V: The “V” shape improves tracking, has a lively feel and delivers very comfortable stability.
Open Cockpit: The Solara’s feature our largest open cockpits. These are very easy to get in and out of, and give a feeling of being almost completely free from the boat. Open cockpits have enough space to put gear between your legs for easy access.

| Sit on tops are very stable, easy to get in and out of and there is no feeling of confinement. They're also self-bailing, which means they have small holes (called "scupper holes") that allow the water to drain right through them. You do drip water on your legs as you paddle.
