FULL CUSTOMIZATION
The BackSaver is designed to be a fully custom fit for your body size and shape. The height and angle of the BackSaver can be set to your needs and adjusted on the fly. Big, small, long, or short – the height adjustment fits any back and the angle adjustment allows for virtually any angle of recline in an instant.
BackSavers can be added to any bench and Wenonah bucket style seats in just a few minutes.
SIMPLE FUNCTION
The BackSaver is incredibly simple to install, use, and adjust. It is designed to be there when you need it, and securely fold out of the way when you don’t.
Lightweight springs hold it upright while in use – ensuring it won’t flop when you’re moving around, but folds forward or backward to easily to crawl over or around.
LIGHT STRENGTH
Weighing in at less than 1.5 lbs. the BackSaver won’t bog you down. But, don’t mistake efficiency with weakness. BackSavers are incredibly strong and durable – made to last the test of time, elements, and regular use.

BackSavers are manufactured right here in the U.S.A. by our team of skilled craftsmen. Each BackSaver is hand built with high quality materials including an anodized aluminum frame (available in black or natural aluminum colors) and our proprietary mutli-layer, water treated, contoured wood back.
TIME TESTED
The BackSaver has been on the water for over a decade with thousands of people benefiting from its revolutionary design. It is a proven technology for comfort and convenience.
A shorter profile is needed for some solo canoe applications so the BackSaver does not interfere with the portage yoke. This model will also provide a better fit for children or smaller adults (less than 5 ft. 2 inches.)

At age 50 he started looking for a little more comfort in his adventures and realized that none of the available options really worked. So, he began to develop his own. After years of trial, error, feedback, refinement, and repetition, CushGear was born.

The development of the BackSaver was first and foremost about Cush wanting to continue pursuing his outdoor adventures as long as possible with everyone from friends to grandkids.
